Driver validation tool - test anticipated bare metal replacement server

Hi,

I've run the 'Driver validation too'l on our main server which we are protecting with BESR 2010.

But what about testing for driver validation on our anticipated bare metal replacement server ?

How can I ensure that I have the necassary driver on the recovery CD in order to do a Restore Anywhere to our standby bare metal recoivery server.

It's much newer than the main server which we are protecting and is very likely to have subsantially different drivers.

One way would be to load up an OS onto the new replacement server and then run the 'Driver validation tool', but have I really got to go to those lengths or have I missed something in the manual ?

I think you could just start the SRD and to the driver valdation there and check wheter you get an IP Adress and see the local disk drives.
