No LOR entry in boot menù

Hello,

I have pushed LOR 2013 to 5 client PCs using management solution 2013, 2 on the PC work correctly, the other 3 don't have the LOR 2013 boot option in the boot menù. The LOR hidden folder is there in the c: unit, but no boot option. Maybe the pc got automatically rebooted before completing the installation, because they were brand new windows 8 pc and had a lot of updates/software pushed in the first day.

How may I fix this?

Windows 8?

Windows 8 is currently not supported via the SSR Management Solution. Please refer to the following:

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH201318

http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO9965

You could try and install LOR locally using the local SSR client to rule out any possible issues with SSR-MS (as this is not supported yet).

Let us know if local install helps here.

I did the installation on windows 7, then upgraded to windows 8. anyway, the boot entry did not appear even before the upgrade to windows 8.

Your original post said 'brand new Windows 8 machines' which is a bit misleading.

Anyhow, I think a support case is the best way forward.
