Prepare BESR use for ubuntu 9.04

Now system running OS Ubuntu 9.04 and App on Phyical H/W dell server R300...........  So i need to converto P2V  vmware esxi.....

I do solution

1. vmware cold clone : error  unknonw platform

2. vmware vconvert 3.5/ 4.2 /4.3 /5.0/ 5.5  : error between converter

3. BESR not yet to do

If i need to BESR to backup OS via Boot CD and then restore to VMWare(vsphere 5.1)  How to prepare materail frist ?

First Ubuntu is not supported by SSR 2013 SP1: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH201318

But if boot off with the SRD and take a cold backup of the ubuntu machine and then restore the backup in the VM also from the SRD, this could work.

If i use  BESR version 2012 can or cannot

But BESR does not have a version 2012 , it has SSR 2013 , we have BE 2012
