Just to help others that might run in to the same problem.
We actually discovered that this was not caused by the NAS disk. It was caused by an Recovery Disk that existed on the Dell servers we tried to restore. If we deselected them from the recovery all went fine.

Are you running SSR 2011 SP2 ? Do you have write access to the NAS ?

Yes we are running the newest release, liveupdate doesent find anything.
Yes we are able to write to the nas, it's the same location (Different folder) that we make the backup to in the first place.

Hm, I can't find anything, sorry- can you open a case for this ? I think this will be the most effective way to find the reason for the error.

Have you been able to fix this ?

No we never got this fixed. Only by moving the files away from the NAS (Seagate NSA110) over to an Windows Server did it run.

Good that you fixed it in someway. May I ask you kindly to mark your post as solved ?

Hello Hansen,
This may help?
http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH86863
Did you run the conversion with "Run mini setup" option checked? or was that unchecked?
Thanks
