changing the hostname after the restoration

Hi,

I have a task to change the system name after the restoration. I am using BESR 2010 (not BESR 2010 MS) to backup and restoration. Is it possible to rename the system name after the restoration using BESR 2010?. FYI, the change in the hostname requires as they are going to be at my DR site. Any suggestions or ideas are really appreciated.

You can change the machine name after you have restored, you should probably change the SID as well. If the restored machine is a DC, you'll need to demote then change the name and SID then promote.


PS: If it we me I would not change the name of a DC.
