Hi All,

Im very new to EV, and needed help to find out how to manually run a EV backup scripts in order to backup all queued messages.

Im upgrading our current EV from 10.0.0 to 10.0.3, and im not sure if there is a script i can run or do i need to create one, and if so how do i do that?

I dont know much about the command line in powershell to backup all queued messages.

Any help would be great, i have tried to search online but not much on step-by-step how to back up queued messages.

Regards

John Jreisat

The scripts which EV have are there to put the Ev INdexes and storage in backup mode . You can also Put EV in backup mode from the VAC

refer https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/videos/how-set-backup-mode-vault-admin-console.

Once you have Ev in Backup mode , you can perfrom a backup . Make sure the backup resets the archive bit . Once the backup is complete you may clear the backup mode and all the pending archive email should get converted into a shortcut .

You may also run the attrib attrib /s *.*command on the storage location to fake the system that the backup is done.
