SQL 2000 and EV 2007

I am currently trying to install EV 2007.  The deployment scanner tells me my SQL 2000 SP4 server is installed in Case Sensative mode and EV will not support it. Is this true and if so what are my options? Can I use SQL 2005 Express with EV? Thanks
