Ok, so a couple questions:

Is CA installed on the same server as EV?

Can you veiw original items in CA from review?

Finally, have you double-checked your Temp folder and ASP.Net Temp folder permissions?

CA installed on a Separate server, not on same server as EV

Yes we can view original items in CA from review, opens fine in Outlook.

Looking at the permissions settings for Temp folder it is rather confusing

Install Document says

■ The Windows Temp folder on the Compliance Accelerator server. This folder
is typically %windir%\Temp.
■ The ASP.NET Temp folder on the IIS computer. This folder is typically:
%windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\version\Temporary ASP.NET Files
64-bit versions of Windows also have the following ASP.NET Temp folder:
%windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\version\Temporary ASP.NET Files
To set the Temp folder permissions
1 In Windows Explorer, right-click the folder whose permissions you want to
change, and then click Properties.
2 Click the Security tab.
3 Add Authenticated Users and give them Full Control.
4 Click Advanced.
5 In the AdvancedSecuritySettings dialog box, ensure that Allowinheritable
permissions from parent to propagate to this object is checked.

CA is installed in Windows 2008 R2, so i guess we have to check permissions under Framework64
Which version shall we check? v2.0.50727 ?

Also in windows 2008 R2 there is no option "Allowinheritable permissions from parent to propagate to this object". What do we check then?

Many Thanks

Just checking the Customer IIS virtual directory in IIS, but getting the following

---------------------------
Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager
---------------------------
Could not find a part of the path 'E:\Program Files\Enterprise Vault Business Accelerator\ComplianceWeb'.
---------------------------
OK

FYI: This folder doesn't exists.

Just realised that crystal reports support wasn't installed, therefore compliance web directory was missing.

Now installed Crystal reports support component by selecting "Modify" option in CA installation.

After installation CA lost its configuration, so had to painfully add all configuration again, configuration DB, and all customer DBs.

Now getting differrent error while trying to view item from reports.

Server Error in '/CA_C2' Application.

Is this a new report or the original?

You want to do that one for sure, if you look in your error that is the version being reported.  You could just do them all to be sure.

I don't have my lab in front of me so not 100% sure where to find the inheritable permission setting.  Will check later on.
