Refer to Best practices for Backup Exec 2012 Deduplication Option ,URL:http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=HOWTO74446
One requirement is to use a dedicated logon account when creating a deduplication disk storage device.
I want to ask whether it can create BE Logon account only for deduplicatio storage without creating local windows account in BE 2012.
or it must create local window account (e.g. dedup_user) and create BE logon account (e.g.dedup_user)

Its best for this account to be a non-windows account. Use the Logon Account wizard to create a new logon account with an user name/password which is not created in Windows. This username/password will be stored in the DeDupe dB as well & since it is a non-windows account, it would be not be subject to any changes.

Hi VJware,
Can you explain more deteil about login account dedicated for deduplication on BE 2012?
Do I need to create in windows account in Local Users and Group in BE 2012? If yes, do this account need to have administrative right?
Assume that use whole F:\ drive for deduplication , do I grant NTFS permission (Full Control) for this window account on F:\?
