BE 2010 + Sharepoint backup

Hi,

Sharepoint backup is getting failed continuously for the past one week. I have attached the error log for youe reference. Please help.

1 Have this backup worked ever?

2 What is version of Sharepoint & what is the version of backend database that is SQL like SQL 2008 or 2008 r2 

3 Backupexec version is that BE 2010 or BE 2010 r2 sp1

4 Are you selecting sharepoint resources from sharepoint server farm or from sharepoint server

5 Is remote agent installled on sharepoint & backend sql server database if sql is remote server

sharepoint 2007 version and SQL server 2005

3 Backupexec version is that BE 2010 or BE 2010 r2 sp1

BE2010

4 Are you selecting sharepoint resources from sharepoint server farm or from sharepoint server

Only the webserver is listed under Microsoft server farm.

5 Is remote agent installled on sharepoint & backend sql server database if sql is remote server

Hi

Can you uncheck the sharepoint resources from server farm & then submit the job & again click on edit to check the sharepoint resources from server farm & then again click on submit to save changes

Also please verify you backupexec account is sharepoint farm administrator & remote sql server using sql studio management--security -login please check backup account is there if not please add it & go to server role & give it sys-admin,serveradmin,dbcreator role

Then restart the services on sharepoint & sql & backupexec & see if that works

Hi,

when i try to uncheck the sharepoint resources in the job properties, i am gettibg the error message (attached). The backup acc is already a part of farm admi and sql admin .backup acc  accacb

Please suggest.

I am able to check and uncheck the selection under job properties after going thru this article. http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH58121. Tonight's job status will tell us whether the fix worked or not. Thankks much for your assistance.

Thanks for your quick response on same & good to see it has fixed the issue with selection

Please run the backup job & do remembed AOFO should be off for sharepoint backup as per best practisces with symantec
