Backing up Exchange 2007 with Shared Storage

Burhanm
Level 3

We have Exchange 2007 with Single Copy Cluster, where the database resides on a shared storage. We are planning to use Backup exec 12.5 for backing up our Exchange 2007 Database so that we can achieve the restoration of even a single email or a mail folder whenever required, benefitting from the granular recovery techonology provided by Backup exec 12x.

In relation to that, Can anyone explain me how the backups will be taken in such scenario and also i would appreciate if anyone can guide me to a proper article explaining how to achieve it.

Any feedback is welcomed.

Regards

Please review the technote below for the best practices of Exchange.  The Backup Exec 12.5 Admin guide is also a good resource for information regarding backing up exchange.
