Backing up to disk with SAN Shared Storage Option

The SAN Shared Storage Option allows us to share our tape library between media servers.

Can I do the same thing with a backup-to-disk device on the SAN? Can more than one media server write to the device? Can jobs be sent to the backup-to-disk device concurrently?

Or are tape drives and disk devices handled differently?

I've never tried, but would imagine that if you create separate B2D folders for each media server, that you could run a job from each one at the same time.

You may very well saturate your network, however :)
