I apologize if this has been discussed or documented elsewhere but I haven't see it. Is Backup Exec supposed to send updates regarding Symantec ThreatCon? I just received this:
Subject: Backup Exec Alert: General Information (Server: "BACKUPSVR")
(Server: "BACKUPSVR") The Symantec ThreatCon Level has been raised to level 2
I have a Symantec Endpoint Protection server that hasn't sent anything of the sort but here is my Backup Exec telling me about a security issue. Is this normal? Configurable?
The best I can tell, it's a new slaes pitch integrated into BE v12.5. You get these naging alerts about another Symantec product, even if you don't have it installed.
