Can 11D backup .pst files

Hello,

We have some clients that backup .pst files from outlook.

In my logs I'm always seeing.  skipped .pst file or cannot verify

Below:

backup- \\client\data
Warning: \\client\data\outlook\Archive.pst is a corrupt file
This file cannot verify

So I'm thinking it is getting backed up, but the verification process of the job is failing.  I have seen this on most of my .pst files.

Any info would be great.

Backup Exec cannot backup open PST files

You can either use AOFO (licensed per machine) or train your users to loggoff every night

Is there any other files that connot be get backup while open?

Any database files.  If you have SQL/Exchange/Notes/Oracle/Sharepoint you can use the appropriate (extra cost) agent to get "hot" backups.  Don't even think about using AOFO for these.  The backups may say that they completed OK, but I wouldn't bet t my job on being able to restore from them

Access databases , any spreadsheets etc should be OK using AOFO
