Hello @all,
I have a question about backing up and restore a Windows Failover-Cluster with Backup Exec 2012. Do I need special agents for it or licenses?! When which agents or licenses are neccessary. How are your experiences?! Is it possible with Backup Exec 2012 or do I need another program?!
Greetings
Aiko

BE 2012 can backup Windows clusters. You would need to buy an Agent for Windows System licence for each machine in the cluster.

Yes it is possible. Bakcup exec is cluster aware application.
You need to install agents on all the nodes in the cluster
Once this is done if the clustering is proper from windows side the shared resources will show up in the console which can be easily backed up
As pkh mentioned you need to buy remote agent licenses for all the nodes in the cluster
And application related licenses if you have exchange sql, etc in cluster.
