Copying Backup Jobs

We have Backup Exec 2012 on a server and we moved the server to a new domain. Ever since then, when BE is launched, it can't connect because it's trying to reach the old domain. Is there a way I can easily copy the backup jobs that are already created? I'd really hate to have to set them up again.

Thanks.

Hi,

You can update the media server's configuration as per the TN below:

Hello there,

As the servernames have changed due to Domain change you will have to create new jobs fot the new servers. To make things easier you can try the option of "Create a New Backup Using the Settings from an Existing Backup".

This is the last option under Backup tab from where you can create new jobs. Using this option will save your time about selecting the destination devices and media retention period, etc etc. You will just have to select the selections.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the article. I followed the steps and it showed that everything completed successfully. However, when I launch BE, it still shows me to servers, the old one and the current one. If I open the current one, it shows no backup jobs and if I open the old one, I can't edit the jobs or do anything because it says it can't connect to the old domain.

Perfect, I was able to copy those jobs. I think everything should work but I'll double check when they kickoff tonight. Thanks again for your help. That saved me hours!!
