Hi,
Can anyone please let me know does backup exec 2012 support SuSE Linux 4 ?
Also i have another exchange server and can the exchange logs be truncuated and what is the best practice to flush these logs?

For the support of SuSe, check the BE 2012 SCL ( http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH175581 )
For exchange, an Exchange agent is required, in BE2012 this is called the Agent for Applications and Databases. Install the BE remote agent, and it will detect Exchange, after a successfull backup the Exchange logs will be flushed.

...just don't use Advanced Open File Option in your job otherwise you run the risk of not having your logs flushed. Been there, done that.
