I am transitioning my current BUE 2010 server to BUE 2010 R3.1, which will reside on another server.
I have upgraded the original BUE 2010 server to R3.1, so that I can more easily migrate the database, but I have a question about upgrading the BUE agents.
If I do a push upgrade of the BUE agent on Windows hosts, from 2010 to 2010 R3.1, will the upgrade require me to reboot the target hosts after the upgrade is complete, or will the upgrade simply upgrade the agents and restart the agent service on the target hosts?

forced reboot is performed if installing advanced open file option or updating this option along with the remote agent...else not...though recommended to reboot the remote server laters..

A DeDuplication configuration (possibly client side) may also require a remote agent reboot.
