Duplicate Mailbox Backup?

I have a backup job that backs up two clustered Exchange servers (Active/Active). I'm backing up the Mailboxes at brick level. Under the file selection, if you expand the Mailboxes for each, they both have exactly the same mailboxes.

My question is, since this is a cluster, is it necessary to back up the mailboxes (brick-level) on both nodes because I'm in Active/Active? If I were to move to Active/Passive, would I only need to backup the mailboxes on one node?

My concern is that I'm duplicating my efforts, making the already long brick level backup even longer.

Hello,

I would like to know if the same node controls both virtual Exchange servers, since the cluster is in active active. If it is so then deselect the duplicate mailboxes under each virtual server.
