Duplication job pending for media set, yet media is available...

Hi,

BE 2012 SP1 on Win2008R2 - B2D2T...

I have a duplication job which is wanting a tape in a particular media set, yet the GUI shows that there is a piece of media in the same media set which is still appendable.

Is this a known problem with BE 2012 SP1?

Hi Dave,

Was the media present when the duplicate job started? Have you tried to stop the job and run the duplicate job again?

Lastly, is that media appendable?

1. If this is the second tape then the job needs an overwritable tape. A job can only append to the first tape. 2. If this tape is the first tape then there are various reasons why your job does not append to the tape.
