File Restore job is successful but job log throws exceptions...

Hello...I am using Backup Exec 2012.

I have many folders to restore to a location other than their original location.

I have tested this and the job was successful when restoring folders to a different Server. But for some reason the job log has exceptions. It shows that each and every file "...already exists on the target so the restore of this item has been skipped".

Since all the files in my small test did in fact copy over, it is not a problem.

But when I copy over 1000's of files then it will be a problem. Becasue I won't know if the job log exceptions are accurate or not.

Why does this job exception show up?

Did you choose the option to overwrite existing files on the target server ?

"Restore over existing files" is the exact option in the restore wizard.

I did not choose that option.

However, when I prepared for the restore, I created a new folder and restored the data to this empty folder.

So there was nothing in the target to overwrite.

Hmmm....I may do another test make that selection and see. I will post back here.
