I have a client with BE 12 and Live Update fails with the below event log entry:

Anyone see this issue? i haven't found a resolution so far.

Check the bkupinst.htm log file which documents all the errors that appear during installation.
The file is located at the below path.
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Backup Exec\Logs

Hi Chuck,
If you have an AV, stop the services and try again. If you're doing an automated installation, consider downloading the patch and installing it manually...

...what happens if you download the patch manually and then install it?

I have not been able to find the patch to download.
