Help Required for a real old system!!!!

Hi All,

Before you jump on with a gun on me, lemme confess it already that this query is for a very old version of BackupExec (9.1) so any help what-so-ever is deeply and greatly appreciated.

Intermittantly, for full and differential backup's, I am getting the below error while the jobs are failing on our backupexec 9.1 server:

Final error: 0x450 - No more data is on the tape.
Final error category: Other Errors.

I tried the solutions mentioned in the link below but to no avail:

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH4852

Below are the details that might be helpful:

Tape Drive Type: IBM LTO Ultrium 1

OS: Windows server 2003 R2

Tape Drive Driver Version : be4691RSP5

Though we are moving to new solution but still i need this to work for some time on this server.

It could be that Server 2003 R2 is not supported by BE 9.1.  BE 9.1 only supports Server 2003, not R2.  See the SCL below

Hi PKH,

Sorry for the wrong info in the first place...its Windows Server 2003 Std Edition. Also yesterday i power cycled one of the drives and it started working. I tried to emulate the same for others too bit in vain..!!! Still I am back to where i started..Just as out of curiosity, does this error has to do anything with the tapes we use???
