I was wondering if anyone had seen anything similar to the following?
Attempting to perform a remote disaster recovery:
- Install Windows Server 2003 on similar hardware
- Deploy Remote Agent to the server
- Start restoring last backup to the server
- During the restore of "System Files", the server bluescreens with "Page fault in a nonpaged area"
- Upon restart, the OS will not start up, and can't use the recovery console, with symptoms indicating that the SAM database is corrupted (it doesn't know any passwords). This leads to a continuous reboot loop.
This problem is reproducible, using different backups, but it always affect the same server that's being restored.
Looks like there's something wrong with that server I guess?
Anyone else seen anything like this?
