Hi everyone,
a customer has a SUN 7110 storage appliance and saves CIFS shares with Backup Exec. Backup and restores are all ok. But an error-id 57476 occours and fill up log file. Advicesed is to install the SOLARIS Agent - but is this possible on SUN 7110 ? How to? Or any other tip to suppress this error messages?

No need to install any agent on storage appliance...

thank you for message.
Again, the error occours only with CIFS shares on SUN 7110 - not on Windows CIFS shares.

May want to check the latest HCL. In BE2010R2, NDMP was supposed to be supported at some point I was told. I'm not sure if it is or will be. Though this was ONLY for 2010 R2.
Other than that, you will have to backup the CIFS share, via a user-defined selection. If you are using ZFS under your storage, with dedupe enabled, that could explain possible errors? Though only thorough testing can confirm that.

This can be possible reasons. Customer will do an update on the appliance.
