Strange modified date displayed

During a restore of a 2007 exchange BE2012 displayed strange "modified date" for the selections. For actual date of backup no modified is displaye, but goinb back it suddenly  shows up and very strange: 1974 didn't know that we had LTO6 tapes at that time already. is there any reasonable explanation for that, cause our exchange is used by 300 users on a daily base, so the modified date should show up quite right.

No, the backup/restore is a physical 2003 64bit windows server with exchange 2007 on it. It is a db-restore, but the tape-content should be identified right. It is the same server, which runs backup & restore. No import from another backup-server or former/older tapes. these tapes are LTO-6 and from the last 2 months.
