Hi my backupexec services are not responding, and when I try to srart them they are starting. I am getting error 1068 when I try to start the backupexec server service. Any help appreciated.

Start --> Run --> Secpol.msc --> Local Policies --> User Rights Assignment --> Log On As A Service --> Add user or group --> Advanced --> Find Now --> Select User account --> Ok --. Ok --> Ok.
I think you have to make these changes from an account which has admin rights.

Are your Job Engine and Agent Browser services started?
I think BE server service depends on those two services.
Make sure port 10000 is not in use by other application.

Check the event viewer for any error message.

The 2 services are not starting I am getting error 1068. I checked the event viewer and found event id 7041 I followed the steps for this id however when I navigate to local security settings>local policies>user rights assigment and I hit on log on as a service I cannot add any accounts here. stumped..

check, if:
Password is correct and not expired
Account is not locked
(...)I navigate to local security settings>local policies>user rights assigment and I hit on log on as a service I cannot add any accounts here(...)
The user you are using have the right permissions to add permissions?
