extract edb from BE10 backup file

I must extract a information store from a backup of exchange executed with backup exec 10 (i'm using backup exec 2010), I must not restore on another exchange but simply extract the file .EDB, how can I solve? Thank you

Hi

You can only extract the information in 2 condition

A

If your backup for exchange are snapshot full backup then with backupexec version 12 and above you can resotre that snapshot backup to drive on one of the exchange server using exchange redirect option

B

If you have GRT backup of exchange Information sotre then you can perform duplicate backup job from tape to disk & you can extract the edb from the img folder on disk

But as per your scenario as your backup have been done using 10d in your case you cannot use both of these option so you cannot extract edb file unfortunately

Agree with itsmeaffinity your options are somewhat limited becaise of it being a 10D backup. You might have to consider a recovery storage group or building an offline Exchange environment against your particular scenario.
