vm restore retaining uuid

Hi 

I have performed restore of VM from production site to DR site. Is there a way to ensure that the UUID of the VM is retained ?

If I am not mistaken, no. I have not seen such a parameter in BE

I believe, Overwriting the existing VM preserves the UUID during a restore, else not.

Is this netbackup or BE environment? If its netbackup, there's a check box  on the recovery GUI to choose either to retain existing UUID or create a new one.
