After "Move Archive", one (!) user is asked for his windows credentials when starting Outlook

Hi there,

I have to move several archives from on EV server to another and every move finished without any error.

However, one user is asked everytime he starts outlook for his windows credentials and the top of the log-on window points to the EV server containing the new archive.  A synchronization between the archive on the server and the local Vault Cache happens only if those credentials are provided correclty.

I already did a "full reset" within Outlook, to create a new Vault Cache but nothing changes ( The new build of the Vault Cache has started only after
the user enters his windows credentials).

Does anyone had the same problem and maybe a solution for it ?

Thanks for your support.

Does the user have a proxy set in Interntet Explorer per chance? and have the correct domains been added to the local intranet zone?

Did you check on the new archive under the permissions tab if the user info have been synchronized correctly ? (make sure to do a refresh first in the console)

If it's empty then check the following technote:

The hint with the local intranet zones put us on the right track (thanks JesusWept2).

Because the concerned user is an IT-Admin  ;o)  , he sometimes have to set an Out-of-Offce message for users who can't do this on their own. So he is using Outlook Web Access (OWA) to do this. And to be not connected automatically to his own mailbox and to have the choice to open up another users mailbox, he set the Option "User Authentication" to "Prompt for username and password" (see screenshot).

After changing it back to "Automatic logon only in Intranet zone", the logon while starting Outlook is not longer occuring.

The complete "path" to this OPtion within is: IE 8.0  “Tools” – “Internet Options” – “Security” –“ Local “  Intranet”  - “Custom level ”

Again, thanks all for your support.
