Changing SQL SA password

Our EV6 SP3 install is on one server and it's corresponding SQL DB is on another SQL 2000 server. We are looking at changing the SQL SA password to meet more stringent security requirements. I can't find a location in EV Admin console where it specifies the SQL SA password so I assume it won't cause any problems.

Is that correct ?

I suppose we can always change it back if necessary.

EV uses Windows Authentication to connect to SQL, so change away. :)

You can refer to the Install and Config guide:

Creating a SQL login

Click Start, Programs, Microsoft SQL Server, Enterprise Manager.
Expand the SQL Server container.
Click Security.
Right-click Logins and, on the shortcut menu, click New Login.
Enter or select the name of the Vault Service Account. For example, domain\vaultadministrator
Check that Windows Authentication is selected and that the correct Domain for the account has been selected.
Under Security Access check that Grant access is selected.
On the Server Roles tab, select Database Creators.
Click OK.Message was edited by:
