Hi all,
Environment is - EV 10.0.1 / Windows 2008 R2 / Windows 7 clients with Outlook 2010
I'm having an issue with retrieving messages via double-click. If I browse back through the mailbox and find an archived item, if I double click on it the message wiill open but with an error in the ribbon "1073471288 error loading the item, some functionality may not be available" You cannot then forward or reply to the email. However, if I use the EV ribbon and click restore item, all works fine and you can forward, reply etc. You can also retrieve message via the browser without issue.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Cheers

I think I have seen something similiar when teh site alias changed or the server was configured for SSL exclusively without redirection from port 80.
Either of these apply per chance? Sorry for the shot from the hip.

Any chance of seeing the EV Client Trace?
Also, if you click the grey banner, what error does it give?

Is this all messages for everyone? several users? etc?
Did you ever do any database restores of your EnterpriseVaultDirectory database?

Hi there,
Yep it is across the board, the error is in the banner of the email, if you click on the error you get a pop up with the "1073471208 internal error"
Unfortunately I've left site for the moment so cannot get a trace going just yet.
I've not had a need to restore anything as yet, all other features are working fine.
Cheers

My first suggestion would be rebooting EV server if you have not done after applying any windows/application patch. Before rebooting the server you can try reregistering all EV files (c:\program files (x86)\Enterprise Vault\FileReRegiter.bat) by double clicking on "FileReRegister.bat.
If error still comes then take client trace with dtrace of StorageOnlineOpns+w3wp.
