Enterprise Vault and Picasa (archived images)

Hi all!

Enterprise Vault 10.0.4.

An user is trying to use Picasa. But Picasa cannot access the archived images and when the tries to add certain folder with archived photos, Picasa does not found any of them.

Is there any way to allow Picasa accesing to the archived files or the only way to make Picasa work would be disarchiving the files and avoiding the rearchiving of them?

Thanks!

As Andy said, there isn't anything to be done on the EV side.

You could have the user copy the files to a new location, which should recall them as long as they don't trip the recall limit.  Then they could upload to Picasa and then delete them.

Other than that, you could find a Picasa forum and see if other users have advice about uploading offline files.

assuming you're using file system archiving and this is for a windows workstaion? some applications work fine with it, others dont know how to access offline files. i'm not sure anything can be done differently from the EV side. my guess is that picasa is skipping offline files (that's how the OS sees an archived file from EV.)
