Enterprise Vualt 11.0.1 upgradation issue

We have upgraded enterprise vault 10.0.4 to 11.0.1 and then immediately install this cumulative hotfix 2 without upgrading enterprise vault databases by mistake.

Now we are running EVDatabaseUpgrader.exe. But it’s giving error version mismatch between application and database and upgradation is not working.

Now, we are not able to remove cumulative fix 2.We have reinstalled version 11.0.1 and trying to upgrade databases again. But this time it’s giving error “Database patch removal failed. The operation is blocked by the installer”.

 Please help for database upgradtion. Early response/solution is very much appreciated.

Did you take a full backup before upgrading? The software installing warns to do this before continuing.

I have backup of all sql databases  only taken through sql management studio.

I suggest you to rollback SQL databases to 10.0.4 with SQL backups taken before the upgrade to 11.0. 

Uninstall the EV 11.0 binaries 

Install back the 10.0.4 binaries 

re-attempt the upgrade following the proper steps in the 11.0 SP1 upgrade instructions. Install CHF 2 only after validating the upgrade to 11.0 SP1 is successful.
