We are using EV 7.5 SP3. The user has 3 systems, all with Office 2003. One has google desktop search, one has Windows Desktop search and the third has nothing extra installed. Only the third system works properly with the "search vaults". All 3 return results with searching, but the first two can only open attachement results, not any messages. The following error is provided:
"Cannot download the archived item from
http://hqevaultserver1/enterprisevault/Download.asp?VaultID=some long skew of characters&AttachmentID=&Title=Expenses+Blanc.xls&ServerVersion=v7.5.2138
Invalid class string
[CPOA]"
I decided to run "ResetEVClient.exe" on one of the first two machines and the error has now changed to:
"Could not show this item.
Please try again; if it still fails, contact your Enterprise Vault administrator."
I'm in the early stages of deploying this product, so far just to the I.T. team. Any thoughts?
