i want to confirm what are  the components required for configuring exchange archiving

vault reporing and dicovery and search service is mandatory for installation ...inputs required

You just need the admin console and the core installation to configure exchange archiving...(the top two install options) along with the other pre-reqs as already pointed out.

Reporting needs SQL Server Reporting Services and is not mandatory

Discovery Search Service is for Clearwell integration
