Hi all,

Just want to check if anyone know how to fix the above issue.

Have installed the extensions on the CAS servers, the EV server is configured (incl. restart of services and synchronization).

It looks very similar to: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/missing-ev-buttons-owa-2007-and-attachment-show-65b

Have tried the suggested changes on the EWS VD by Tony Sterling, can't recycle the services right now but will check that in a while.

But if that doesn't help any other suggestions ?

When tracing owa, we get the following: (have tried it both externally and internally).

just as a matter of interest, what happens when you go to

http://localhost/ews/exchange.asmx

?

Get 403.4 error, SSL was required on the EWS VD on the CAS server.

We deselected that, recycled the iis services but for some reason it still complain with 403.4.

This is from a different forum (not relating to EV)

It is fixed. Here is what happend.

The mailbox server for exchange 2007 had require ssl on the default web as
well as /exchange and /exchweb. The communication between the CAS and the
mailbox server don't use SSL so that is why i kepted getting 403.4. As soon
as i uncheck require ssl on the default web as well as /exchange and /exchweb
everything is working fine on the CAS server. I can't take credit for fixing
this. I opened a case and a microsoft engineer found the issue.

Thanks,
Jim

Google'd on the ews ssl problem, and apparently you need to change it in two places, at least with Exchange 2010.

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee633481.aspx

Now we get an Internal 500 error when accessing localhost/exchange/ews (or by replacing localhost with the ip).

if you're getting a 500 on the EWS you may be getting an event in the application log of the CAS Server

We did and a bunch of events was generated, it seems its not necessary to change the web.config in the EWS directory if you're on Exchange 2010 SP1.

So right now we have reverted back becasue we got loads of Event ID3:

Same text as in the first post:

So right now I'm not sure if we got the 500 error because of other issues rather than the SSL issue itself.
