And I applied this http://support.veritas.com/docs/318209

However, I got this error

You mtnion Windows 2008 but not SP level?  I see from compatibility guide below that this EV support 2008 SP1 with two conditions one of which is MS HF http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949516

ftp://exftpp.symantec.com/pub/support/products/Exchange_Mailbox_Archiving_Unit/276547.pdf

2008 SP2 is pending and base is not mentioned.

Does this help?

Are you able to add the ip restrictions in manually, as this will see if this is a script issue or something else like permissions.

Do you have the IIS option/role of ip restrictions shown  ?

I'm having the same problem. We have Windows Server 2008 Standard R2. When running the script, I receive the error message:

ERROR: Failed to update IP address restrictions. Check that the 'IIS 6 Management Compatibility' IIS role services are installed

IIS Domain/IP restrictions are shown under IIS7 management (both default website and the EnterpriseVault site). I can edit these manually so permissions are fine.

Found this which solved my problem:

http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/329582.htm

Problem was caused by not running the command from an elevated command prompt.
