How do I lower the size of my Index

Leonardo_Fern1

I am running EV 8.0.2 for Exchange 2007. My Index is on a 620 GB drive, but I only have 60 GB left of space on it. Can the size fo the Index be lowered or do I have to expand the drive size?

Thank you

You can decrease the indexing level.
But adding more space is probably the better way.

You can also add another index location (another drive) instead of expanding the current drive, if that's easiert for you...
There are technotes on how to do do this

See if there are old archives you can delete, get rid of em if you run expiry regulalry, maybe rebuild some smaller indexes to reclaim space, and also you can use the compact.task file to help out but those steps are marginal, best idea is to expand disk space or you'd have to lower thr indexing level and rebuild your indexes but then you'd run into the issues where you can't find the emails you want to like you were able to before
