Upgraded EV to 12.4 from from version 11.0.1.3706 last week.
We never used the new search interface with version 11.
Unfortunately people who use Internet Explorer 11 keep getting e.g.
"Enterprise Vault Search
"Your search request failed.
"Wait and try again. If the problem persists, contact your Enterprise Vault administrator."
on attempts to scroll down past the end of the current results, click Advanced, click on a folder other than the current one in the left-hand pane, or indeed do a search.
Works fine in Firefox but unfortunately IE 11 is our standard browser so we'd like it to work with IE 11.
Has anyone seen this before?

Hi John,
I believe this is the solution for the issue:
In IIS Manager on the EV server, expand the Default Web Site and select the Search virtual directory that is listed under the EnterpriseVault virtual directory. In the right-hand pane open the Application Settings for the Search virtual directory and change the UseRestrictedSecurity option to 0.

Just to clarify, AE and the old search aren't available in EV 12.4. https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100031459 seems to be about the AE and the old search not working with IE 11.
AE and the old search worked fine in our environment with IE 11.
The problem we are having is with the "new" Enterprise Vault Search interface.
