IMAP Access / Mail Connect

Hi,

Is there any matter if the service account for EV doesn't has a mailbox for IMAP solution with mDaemon or ISP IMAP mailbox?

I see the following statement from licensing document

EV 11 also introduces a new archive type
known as Internet Mail archives. Internet Mail archives are designed to allow end user archiving from non-Exchange or
cloud email hosting providers, such as GMail, Microsoft Office 365, Sun, Zimbra, etc. This archive type will allow end
users to connect to an on-premise Enterprise Vault environment using IMAP even though the mailbox is in the cloud,
and either drag and drop items or use client-side rules to archive messages into Enterprise Vault.

the requirement for mailboxes for the EV service account is only for Exchange on-premise

Is that the service account has to be in AD if the end user side does not has AD?

are you saying the network you're running EV on doesn't have AD? we may be talking about two different things here. the IMAP access and credentials are generated per user from the EV server itself.

Wii user being prompt for login if the EV installed in a workgroup environment. Please advise

pretty sure EV can't be installed in a workgroup. it requires AD.
