A customer has already decommissed this particular vault store.

So now the error is showing.

Correct me if I am wrong - I believe I need to manually delete or change the records in SQL table.

I don't think a index rebuild is the solution because the physical vault store location is no longer there.

How should I do that ?

So the index files themselves actually have the saveset IDs in them. You can open them in a text viewer, though there’s a lot of gibberish along with the savesets, if you wanted to spot check and/or perform a search with PhiSearch to verify what they contain. They may not actually be in the indexes and you can flip them in SQL.

Hi dcVAST, what do you mean by "flip"?

And how or what to do in SQL?

Does the number waiting to be deleted go down or does it stay constant?

what version of EV are you using and are your indexes 32 or 64 bit?

Tony, it stays constant.

Andrew, 32 bit

Also, index is not failed

when you upgrade to ev 10 and then upgrade your indexes to 64bit, you can choose to ignore missing items and i think that will resolve the issue you're having.
