Published external DNS, created a web publishing rule to forward all requests from public name of Evault to Evault server, rule is using Forms based authentication with AD, authentication delegation is set to NTLM. Client trace attached. We are using Exchange 2010 SP1, EVault 9.0.2.

Its not strictly a no no, it's just that as you say, when you change passwords Windows will still try and pass the old credentials causing a pop up to occur, they would either have to update the credentials or remove the server I think to be honest to really utilize a single sign on for the EV webapps, they would have to redesign the authentication parts to use Passport or something such as that which would require additional infrastructure within the environment Oh and fwiw I originally wrote that article :)

I'm pretty sure thats expected behavior because NTLM won't work when accessing a resource across the internet , your best bet may be to add the server name to Windows Managed Passwords so that username/password combination is automatically passed when ever its prompted from that servername

Not feasible considering we change our passwords every so often, and its a no no according to the technote here (scenario 6):http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH56220
