Hi,

I need to move my MSMQ location to a drive other than system drive.

Should I create a different drive for the MSMQ locations. If yes than what size should I give to this drive.

I already have a separate drive for indexes and vault stores.

You dont need to create MSMQ on a different drive  you can just move it to another drive .Refer the following documented to move the MSMQ to another drive. You can set the MSMQ size to  8gb or 8388608 KB

since indexes typically go on the fastest storage a customer has, i've seen people move the MSMQ to one of the drives where the indexes are if they cant get a "dedicated" drive. like rahulg said, 8GB is fine to set it to.

Actually, there is a bit more - See the following:

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH168847

There is an addendum, based on what type of OS you are running.  If you are running a 32-bit OS, the MSMQ storage size should not be set greater than 4 GB.  On a 64-bit OS, the MSMQ functionality is more stable and can be set to 8 GB.

Hope this helps.
