Mail Item has been archived with incorrect Recipient Address

Hi there

A user has encountered an email which he'd sent, then copied and edited and sent to another user.

The items have both been vaulted, when he previews them in outlook they show the correct text and recipient. However when he opens them they are showing they are too the same recipient address and display the same text.

We've restored from the vault and the items are both ok when you do that - they show up in preview and when you open with correct recipient and text. We were just curious as to why the correct recipient doesn't show up when you open the email after it's been vaulted.

Hi,

 

Is he using Vault cache? The algorithm we use to find an item in vault cache isn't perfect and sometimes finds a message that is very similar to the original but isn't actually it.  Sounds like that's the issue here.

I'm not sure if he's using vault cache but that sounds like what is happening for the user.

Will let him know, just wanted to make sure that it wasn't something with our set up.
