Did you mean:

MessageCleanupInterval reg info in a cluster environment?

Hi,

This is in the best practices of the installation and configuration guide:

Message queue cleanup interval: MessageCleanupInterval
Name                             MessageCleanupInterval
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
\Software
\Microsoft
\MSMQ
\Parameters
Location
Type                               DWORD
Best practice setting      1800000 (milliseconds = 30 minutes)
MessageCleanupInterval controls the frequency with which Microsoft
Message Queuing (MSMQ) removes old message files. The MSMQ
default of 6 hours is too infrequent for Enterprise Vault. A build up
of old messag files can eventually bring archiving services to a halt.

As the MachineQuota has to be in the cluster msmq path for it to affect the clustered msmq - does this have to be there too?

Tried looking for info that would state if it need to be put there as well...?

if your MSMQ is clustered then i'd agree that any custom parameters would go in the cluster msmq path

Yes that is logical but can enyone verify that's how it is? Knowledge base article or something like that anywhere "officila" - "that's how it should be"?

the way i look at it is they're not going to write a separate article for each reg key to say where to put it when using clustering. instead, you might find a reference that speaks to reg keys in general when clustering and make the assumptions based off of that.
