I am using Enterprise Vault 10.0

What is the purpose of the Web interface (EvSite) that users need to create buckets? If I have Vault Cache enabled, is this site necessary? If no, any issues with disabling the site?

Am I correct to say Archive Explorer and Enterprise Cache is a terminology that is interchangeable? I see Archive Explorer within my EV Cache so I am assuming it is the same.

Don't disable the website as its used for OWA, vault cache syncs, user recalls from shortcuts, archive explorer, browser search and all sorts of other stuff Archive explorer has an online component and an offline component for use with offline vault and vault cache etc The idea behind baskets is so that you can do a search an restore hundreds of items as opposed to restoring them one at a time etc

And on a sidenote, I'd seriously suggest asking for training as you have to sell this to your end users, your management etc, and as you know the configurations you make now may have far reaching consequences in the future that may not be easy or even possible to back out of At the very least check out the Symantec tech center demos for EV, or look up Tony Sterlings "Hi, I'm new to EV" blog post which has lots of information about getting to grips with the product
