Restore from Vault download response timeout

Hello,

We've got an Enterprise Vault server 8.0 SP2 server running for Mailbox Archiving just for a mailbox and the 'Restore from Vault' button seems not to be working very fine from our Outlook 2003 client.

If I double clic the item (quite sure it's a recall) to open item it works fine, and this is recorded into Log File:

Desktop Setting: DefaultDoubleClickView
Desktop Setting: DefaultWebAppURL
Value: http://%ourserver%/EnterpriseVault
Desktop Setting: WebAppURL[%server%]

But if I click on the button, the icon on the item changes from the vault box to the one with the blue arrow (restoring) but never changes and item does not completely restores. This is the relevant information logged:

Any idea for the reason of this abnormal behaviour? I can provide more data if needed.

Are there any events in the event viewer at this point?
Also is your vault store in backup mode?

What happens if you just try double clicking a shortcut, do you see the full message or does it also say the item could not be retrieved?

Does Archive Explorer and Search.asp work?

If you're not in backup mode, which is my first and best guess, then i would also look at your MSMQ and see if messages are getting stuck in the Storage Restore or Storage Spool queue

I'm sorry for the delay... You were right, when we changed from backup mode to normal it recovered its normal function
