Hi,

We were going for an upgrade of Ent Vault from 8 to 9.

We have Exchange 2007, which will be upgraded to 2010.

What is the procedure of the upgrade of Ent Vault.

Does Ent Vault support Virtual server.

Please, help.

Thanks.

the upgrade guide that simon posted is an essential read. it covers a lot of scenarios that you will run into.

I would upgrade EV first to 9 SP2 to make sure that you have full support for Exchange 2010 SP1. Also make sure that the syncinmigrationmode registry key is set to accomodate the mailbox moves.

EV 8 and 9 are fully supported in VM and HyperV but not ms virtual server 2005. Have a look at  the compatibility guide http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH38537

EV doesn't care if Exchange is virtualized or not.

Hi,

Is there any hardware minimum requirement, that will make the archiving smooth.

Or

It totally depend on the exchange performance.

Any suggestion.

Thanks.
