What is the root password?

Hi

 

If you need a way as to how do i become a root. Then follow this

 

1. Login to the console by doing admin@netbackup.appliance. Give the passwordwhich is (P@ssw0rd)

Goto Support --> Maintenance--> Here Maintenance password (same as above)

now, write   elevate press enter

You are root now.

To login to GUI or using Putty

username -admin

Password-P@ssw0rd(that is zero)

 

TO login to ipmi

username-sysadmin

Password -password(all lower case)

Bear in mind that if using a UK keyboard on the appliance it will actually be P"ssw0rd

When logging into the appliances as root, Symantec strongly encourages having support on the line when you do so. For general management Symantec strongly recommends performing standard management operations through the NetBackup Admin Console, the appliance web ui or the command line interface shell (CLISH).
